Security

A small part of the bitcoins of CleverCoin customers are saved in our highly secure online wallets. The majority of our customers' balances however are stored in 'cold storage'. Those balances are stored using off-line multi-signature wallets spread over different locations.

Two-factor authentication provides the user with an extra layer of security. Besides the log-in name and password, a code will have to be given by customer upon signing in. This code is generated by an app on a smartphone.

There are multiple layers of security installed in the software. Like the front-end website, the trading platform and the underlying trading engine (which makes the actual transactions) are completely separated.

Extending monitoring tools are installed to detect any attacks.

All CleverCoin servers run in secured data centers with 24/7 surveillance.
